Do Something

If you are a student or you live in a college community, you are most likely affected by the excessive and underage drinking that goes on.   Among college students between the ages of 18 and 24:

  • 2.1 million students drove under the influence of alcohol during the course of one year
  • 1,700 students die each year from alcohol-related injuries, including car crashes
  • 600,000 students are injured under the influence of alcohol
  • More than 700,000 students are assaulted by another student who has been drinking
  • About 11 percent of college student drinkers report that they have damaged property while under the influence of alcohol

These activities don’t just happen on campus.  The danger reaches into the community.  That is why MADD is asking you to join us in:
  • preventing illegal drinking by underage students and high-risk drinking among students over 21
  • preventing impaired driving by all
So, where do you want to start?
